Buffalo Valley, OK: Starting in August, a new menu with fresh, healthy meal options is available at Buffalo Valley Public Schools, thanks to a newly announced partnership between the school district and Keystone Food Service.

Keystone Food Service focuses on providing freshly prepared breakfast and lunch options for the students it serves. The Oklahoma-based and family-owned company serves over 50,000 students daily and has been selected as the cafeteria vendor for Buffalo Valley Public Schools.

Lunch always will include a full salad bar, stocked daily with fresh fruits and vegetables. Students are allowed to eat from the salad bar at no additional charge to their lunch price.

“Our desire is to provide meals that kids will eat and enjoy and we know that variety is key to that,” said Josh Sanders, CEO of Keystone Food Service. “Every day, students will be able to eat a healthy, balanced meal that the school board and administration can be proud of.”

Some of the menu options students can expect include freshly made lasagna, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken enchiladas, and yogurt parfaits. Nutritious offerings like fresh steamed vegetables will accompany main courses.

“We are proud to partner with Buffalo Valley Public Schools, and we are grateful to its school board and the administration for their willingness to try something new to benefit the kids they serve,” said Josh Sanders, CEO of Keystone Food Service. “We are already getting great feedback and look forward to cooking up excellent meals for the kids in this community.”

Keystone got its start providing meal service at fraternity and sorority houses on college campuses in Norman, OK, and Stillwater, OK. Its operations have steadily grown, and this school year it is serving more than 140 school districts in Oklahoma and Kansas.
