Melinda Hamilton has been with Keystone Food Service for ten years, spending time as a Greek Shopper, Child Nutrition Manager, and most recently, a Regional Manager. In this role, Melinda oversees the North Central Region, which includes the following schools: Agra, Cushing, Drumright, Oak Grove, Oilton, Yale, Blackwell, Coyle, Frontier, Kildare, Newkirk, Pawnee, Peckham, Perry, and Tonkawa.

Melinda’s daily duties vary, but she believes it is essential that each of her schools prioritize the Grandmother Standard and 5 Always. She does this through team building, developing relationships with staff and administration, and by being a support system for her CP managers and F&I Managers. Melinda givers her all every day to meet these duties head-on.

Melinda’s biggest challenge is devoting the proper amount of time and attention to each area she serves. Having to oversee several schools leads Melinda to only being able to spend a set amount of time with each. If only she had more time in each day to spend with each school!

Melinda sees the most important aspects of her job as maintaining the standards of Keystone and also making sure each student is fed a well-balanced meal. “To me, the most important part of my job is to ensure our students are fed, and making sure my area’s staff is trained with our Grandmother Standard and 5 Always,” Melinda said.

When asked what makes the Keystone Difference, Melinda said, “The Keystone Difference is MY TEAM, putting our kids first, and knowing we truly care that our quality of food is above and beyond.”
